Map of black owned Restaurants in FTW

This week, the spotlight is on the Fort Worth foodie community and their mission to support Black-owned food and beverage businesses!

Connie B., a group admin and local food expert, is teaming up with the Fort Worth Metro Black Chamber of Commerce to update a map highlighting these businesses across Tarrant County.

The map hasn’t been updated since 2020, so Connie is calling on everyone to share which spots are still open, which have closed, and—most importantly—what new gems should be added. The group is already buzzing with suggestions: Chelsea D. (creator of Rooted.817) is eager to spotlight more local favorites, and members are shouting out places like Lil JJ’s Smoke House, Smoke-A-Holics BBQ, Mac’s Cajun Shack, Carpenter’s Cafe & Catering, Black Coffee, and HustleBlendz.

This isn’t just a list—it’s a true community effort to make sure every corner of Fort Worth’s food scene is seen and celebrated. If you know a Black-owned spot that deserves some love, now’s the time to share it and help keep the map fresh and thriving!

Baked Bread & Pastry Co. Buzz

Baked Bread & Pastry Co.

Andrea P. kicked off a wave of excitement for Baked Bread & Pastry Co.—the Granbury bakery everyone is raving about! From cowboy quiche to morning buns, folks like Teresa C. drive 25 minutes weekly just to meet up with friends and indulge. The strawberry cream cheese danish is a fan favorite (Kathryn L.), and the staff’s kindness gets shout-outs too (Shannon B.). They’ve just opened a second spot in Glen Rose, so if you’re up for a pastry adventure, it’s worth the trip.
